Overturned Vehicle Caused Major Traffic On The NYS Thruway

Nanuet - The South Spring Valley and Tallman fire departments were dispatched Thursday to the scene of an accident on the NY State Thruway north bound right next to the Spring Valley Toll Barrier (btw Exit 13 & 14), with a report of a victim entrapped.

Upon arrival - along with the NY State Police - they found one vehicle that was overturned and another that was badly damaged on the over side of the roadway. 

The driver extricated himself without injuring himself.

Two ambulance companies from the Town of Clarkstown, Hatzolah EMS from the Town of Ramapo and RPS were on scene but not needed.

Traffic was backed up for over an hour.
