2nd Alarm Fire On Park Ave In Woodbury

Woodbury - FD battled a 2nd alarm structure fire on Park Avenue, mutual aid was requested. no injuries were reported.

One Fatality Reported In MVA On The NYS Thruway

Woodbury - On Wednesday morning approximately 10:46 AM emergency personnel responded to scene of a multi vehicle accident on the New York State Thruway northbound mile marker 48.8 (near Exit 16).

Responding troopers shut down all northbound lanes which was closed while emergency services treated the the patients.

In press release from the New York State Police they reported that the accident resulted in one fatality. The deceased has been identified as Mark Becker, 53, of Hillsdale, NJ.

Tractor Trailer Caughts On Fire On The NYS Thruway

Woodbury - A tractor trailer burst into flames on the New York State Thruway south bound at Exit 16 ramp (RT-6).

The Woodbury and Monroe Fire departments operated on scene. As seen on photos, the whole front of the truck burned down.

Burn Victim Being Flown to Hospital

Woodbury - A burn victim that was severely burned from a fire in the Paradise Bungalow Colony located at 48 Seven Springs road, had to be taken into the hospital via medivac emergency air transport.

The Kiryas Joel EMS (Hatzolah) did the ground transport to the Monroe State Police Barracks, were the patients was flown Westchester Medical Center.
