NYS Thruway Shut Down For Hours After Fuel Spill

Rockland - The New York State Thruway was shut down for hours Wednesday morning after a tailor accident and fuel spill on the roadway on the north bound side on the freeway.

The Monsey and South Spring Valley fire departments as well as the Rockland County Hazmat response were operating to clear up the scene and remove the trailor.

Fuel Truck Overturns, Major Diesel Spill In Nanuet

Nanuet - Dozens of Firefighters and other emergency Haz-mat crews are still at work cleaning  up a major diesel spill at the intersection of College rd and Route 59.

The incident accurred shortly before 1:00 PM. The tanker was driving down west on Route 59 and was in the middle of turning left on College road when the tanker tipped over after being cut off by a car.

O&R Utility Workers Struck Gas Main Line In New City

New City - "Orange & Rockland" utility workers struck a gas main line in front of 38 Christopher drive on Thursday morning, had to call for help from the fire department.

The New City FD requested pumper an manpower to assist with the incident from the Congers and Hillcrest Fire departments.
