Ramapo PD Cruiser Involved in MVA

Monsey: A Ramapo Police Car was involved in an MVA, Monday morning.

The accident happened while the cruiser was responding to an unknown type of emergency call, and was driving down Route 306 with its lights and sirens on.

A civilian vehicle suddenly came out of Langrese Road, and failed to properly yield to the police car. The police officer tried avoiding what could have been a serious crash, and managed to just swipe the vehicle. The police car ended up on the sidewalk. Miraculously, there was no one walking there, and no injuries were reported.

Remember to always yield to emergency vehicles.
