3 Under Arrest After Robbery In Spring Valley

On Wednesday 08/29/12 at approximately at 14:30 hours, the Spring Valley police got a call about one male/black that jumped an Hispanic woman at the corner of Franklin Street and Van Orden Av and tore off her jewelry then fled in a blue Nissan Pathfinder

A description of the perpetrator and the vehicle went out to all officers on patrol in the village.

After about an hour a officer noticed the vehicle entering the gas station located at 1 Union road at the corner of Maple avenue. The officer immediately requested for backup to stop the suspect.

Within seconds, the area was flooded with police cruisers, and - at gun point - had all occupants  exit the vehicle.

All all of the three passengers in the vehicle were taken into custody by Spring Valley detectives.

The Rockland County BCI was also requested to the scene for investigations.

An ambulance and medics responded to the Spring Valley Police Station House for the injured robbery victim, which is currently in stable condition.

The community is great full  for the great response by SVPD, and for the all time crime reduction in the Village of Spring Valley.
