Chaverim Of Rockland Got Two Under Arrest

Monsey - At about 2:15 Sunday morning, Chaverim of Rockland got a call about two suspicious teens walking on Suzzane. A few volunteers responded to the location and started to follow them.

After following for a while the two broke into a car in front of 198 W Maple Ave. The members requested more units and activated the Ramapo PD.

As the Chaverim Volunteers continued to follow them, the two spotted that they are being followed and started running away. The members requested additional volunteers to the scene, and  advised Ramapo PD about the situation. As the two were running they kept on throwing out items from their pockets including iPods, cell phones, etc.

Ramapo PD showed up shortly and stopped them on Main Street and Secor Street. Their pockets were emptied out by police and more items were discovered including credit cards. The two were taken under arrest by police.

Over twenty volunteers from Chaverim started to search the way back to Suzzane drive and look for all items they threw out from their pockets as they were running.

Chaverim ask whoever car was broken into this night and items are missing should contact Chaverim of Rockland, it is possible that they found your item.

Last week Saturday night there were also a few car break ins in the area. Ramapo Police is checking the finger prints to see if the two arrested are connected to the ones from last week.

The community would like to thanks the Chaverim of Rockland for their help in keeping the neighborhood safe.
