Child Struck In Monsey Transported In Serious Condition



Monsey - At approximately 4:45PM, Thursday afternoon, the Ramapo Police Department responded to the area of Roberts Road in the Town Of Ramapo for a report of a child struck by a motor vehicle. 

After investigation by responding officers it was determined that a five year old male child had run out from between parked vehicles in front of his residence on Roberts Road and was struck by a passing vehicle.
The child , who suffered head injuries, was treated at the scene by Hatzoloh ambulance and was transported to Westchester medical center where his condition was reported to be stable.

The vehicle, a 2004 minivan, was driven by a local resident.

The incident is under investigation by the Ramapo Police Accident investigation team.
