Tuxedo - The New York State Police and local fire department were operating on scene of a fully involved car fire on the NYS Thruway South bound between Exit 15A & 16, Monday morning.

Traffic was backed up for a while for a few miles, till the scene was cleared.

Tanker Fire On The NYS Thruway

Suffern - On Tuesday July 23rd at approximately 1:37 am, State Police Troop T SP Tarrytown received a report from Rockland County 911 of a tractor trailer tanker on fire.

The tanker was located on I 87 south in the Village of Suffern and reported to be hauling liquid zinc.

SUV Burns Down On The NJ Turnpike

Tractor Trailer Caughts On Fire On The NYS Thruway

Woodbury - A tractor trailer burst into flames on the New York State Thruway south bound at Exit 16 ramp (RT-6).

Monsey - The Brewer Fire Co (Rockland County Fire Dept 7) and the Ramapo police responded tot he scene of a reported car fire in the intersection of Maple Ave and Herrick Ave Wednesday afternoon.

Upon arrival units advised the got a La Familia taxi vehicle fully involved.

Car Fire On Route 59

Nanuet - A fully involved car fire shut down parts of route 59 for about a half hour Tuesday afternoon.

The fire broke out in front of 128 East Route 59 near Collage road.

No injuries were reported.

Vehicle Fire In "Super Stop & Shop" Parking Lot

Nanuet - A Dodge mini van burst into flames in the parking lot of the "Super Stop & Shop" convenient store  located on S Middletown road near the route 59.


Rockland Fire Dept-8 brought the fire under control within a few minutes. The town of Clarkstown police were on scene as well.

MVA & Car Fire on NYS Thruway

NYS THRUWAY / Nanuet - FIRST REPORT 4:00PM Emergency personnel are currently on the scene of a serious collision – possibly a head-on collision, on the NYS Thruway northbound at Exit 14. As of this posting the entire northbound direction is shut. 


There are reportedly four victims being treated, some with serious injuries.
