NYPD Officers Hospitalized After Drinking Shake Shack Milkshakes Tainted With Bleach


Manhattan. The NYPD is investigating a possible intentional poisoning at Shake Shack in lower Manhattan, after three cops complained of a funny taste believed to have had bleach in it when drinking a milkshake bought from the chain's location at Fulton Street & Broadway in lower Manhattan just after 8pm.

Person Jumps To His Death


Manhattan - Emergency Services, including the FDNY and the NYPD ESU responded Monday afternoon to the scene at 1153 Broadway next to West 27th street for a report of a person that jumped off the building.

The victim, unknown gender and age was pronounced dead on the scene.

Crane Collapses In Manhattan, No Injuries Reported


Hells Kitchen - A construction crane collapsed across a busy Manhattan street Monday and landed on a flatbed truck loaded with huge air conditioners.

The crane was lifting the heavy air-conditioning units at 438 W. 38th St. in Hells Kitchen when the huge boom suddenly gave way and crashed down on top of the truck.

8 Injured In 2 Car MVA On 6th Av In The City


Chelsea - Eight people were injured after two cars collided early Wednesday, officials said.

Two of the victims were seriously hurt when the vehicles crashed about 3:45 a.m. in front of 574 Sixth Avenue, near West 16th Street, the FDNY said.

Fire in Controversial Homeless Shelter Sparked by Cigarette




Upper West Side - A fire at a controversial West 95th Street homeless shelter that sent dozens of firefighters racing to the scene was sparked by a cigarette, officials said.

The blaze broke out in a mattress on the fourth floor of 316 W. 95th St., between West End Avenue and Riverside Drive (FDNY box 1240), just before 11 a.m. and was quickly doused by buidling's sprinkler system, the FDNY said.

Woman On Scooter Killed By TT On Sixth Ave


A 58-year-old woman on a small metal scooter was struck and killed by a tractor trailer on Sixth Avenue that dragged her under its wheels for two blocks Monday morning, officials said.

The woman was riding her scooter westbound across Sixth Avenue at West Houston Street when the massive vehicle made a right turn from Houston onto Sixth Avenue and plowed into her just before 9 a.m., the NYPD said.

The woman was caught in one of the rear tires of the massive truck and dragged for about two blocks.

VIDEO: Man Runs Over NYPD Officers Foot




Manhattan/SoHo - A situation were a driver drove over an NYPD officers foot - as he was writing him a parking ticket - was cought on camera.

In the video taken by YouTube user Damrys7 you can see the driver of the Ferrari 458 Spider getting into the car while the officer is writing the ticket. A he started to move the vehicle, the officer tells him to stop, but the driver resisted.

Manhattan - FDNY Box 0617, the address 366 W 23rd street. Units were on scene for a fire in the deli of a five story 25x65 mixed occupancy.

Two 10-45's Code-4 (non-serious injury) was reported.

Three Car MVA On The FDR


East Side Manhattan - A three vehicle accident occurred on the FDR drive south bound Sunday night right at the Brooklyn Bridge ramp.

An NYPD officer flagged down a Chaverim member to assist, the member started stabilizing the patient, and  waited about 45 minuted till the ambulance arrived.

FDNY Appreciation Weekend At The Intrepid Museum [SLIDESHOW]


FDNY members gathered at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum in Manhattan on July 14 and 15 to celebrate FDNY Appreciation Weekend.


Susan Marenoff-Zausner, President of the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, added, “We want to teach the public about what you do on a daily basis. We at the Museum feel like we’re all family.”


The weekend celebration was kicked off by the 11th annual Blessing of the Fleet ceremony.

The maritime tradition included the blessing of many of the FDNY’s 20 vessels, which are responsible for more than 560 miles of New York City coastline and harbors.

NYPD Cop Brian Groves Could Have Been Killed

It’s the latest proof of why stop-and-frisk is a vital policing tool — and why judges are risking lives by tossing legitimate arrests.


Only through the grace of his Kevlar vest did NYPD Officer Brian Groves survive a point-blank shot to his chest when he was patrolling in the Seward Park Houses on the lower East Side.

Thanks heavens that he did, and thank heavens, too, that New York has cops like Groves and his partner Eric Corniel.

Sketch Released By NYPD Of Suspect In Cop Shooting


The New York City Police Department has released a photo sketch of the suspect that shot an NYPD officer early this morning on Essex street in the Lower East Side.


The NYPD is currently on the streets handing copies of this sketch photo to the public.

NYPD Cop Shot On Lower East Side, Gunman On The Loose

Lower East Side - A police officer who patrolling the Seward Park public housing development on the Lower East Side was shot in the chest around 3:50 a.m. Officer Brian Groves was saved by his bullet-proof vest, according to Police Commissioner Kelly, while police are searching the gunman.


Groves and his partner were "responding to a report of criminal activity in the stairwell of one of the buildings,"WCBS 2 reports. At the 20th or 22nd floor, the suspect fired at them from just a few feet away. It appears Groves also fired his weapon, but it's unclear whether the suspect was wounded.
