Fire Rips through House On Union Rd In Spring Valley
RAMAPO – Authorities are investigating a fire that tore through a Hillcrest home Monday afternoon.
The fire destroyed the home at 134 Union Road and damaged the detached garage, with firefighters from four different communities working two and a half hours to put it down.

Fire Damages Spring Valley House
Spring Valley - Volunteers from Spring Valley Fire Department responded to the scene of a house fire at 357 Roosevelt Ave just after 2 PM Tuesday.
Upon arrival command advised the have visible flames coming out from the roof and top floor of the structure, and requested a pumper and manpower from Hillcrest Fire Department.

Spring Valley Structure Fire Displaces 17 Residents
Spring Valley - About 60 firefighters responded Sunday morning to a fire on Sherman Street that displaced three families.
They found heavy flames spreading quickly up from the garage to both floors on the left side of the wood-sided building at 7 Sherman St. shortly before noon.
No one was reported injured. But three families, accounting for 17 people, including five children, were affected, Red Cross spokeswoman Carolyn Sherwin said.

Gas Leak And Fire At The Hickory Village Houses In Spring Valley
Spring Valley - Firefighters responded to the scene of a reported fire at the Hickory Village houses located at 254 North Main street, Monday afternoon.
Arriving firefighter advised command that they have a fire in the kitchen and also an active gas leak at the location.
They requested the Orange & Rockland utility company to shut the gas, and as well as the Spring Hill Ambulance Corp to standby at thew scene.

Some Photos Of Sandy Aftermath In Monsey
There weren't really flooded streets in Monsey & Spring Valley which is in Rockland County. But the high winds ripped out trees and utility poles through the whole county.
As the Hurricane Sandy started to kick in in the area, NewYorkBuffMedia's Chief Editor Moishe Lichtenstein locked himself in his dark house to be with family while the storm was booming outside. When looked out of the window he saw, that everything was almost totally dark, the only light were seen here and there from explosions from electric transformers that blew up in the area.

Two Stabbed In Spring Valley
Spring Valley - Two people were reported stabbed late Monday evening on Church Street.
At about 11:32 p.m., officers responded to Church Street and North Myrtle Avenue, where they found two stabbing victims, according to initial reports. Police also recovered a blade with blood on it.
Police refused to comment this morning on the stabbings.

Fuel Spill Messes Up Spring Valley Street
Spring Valley - A guy changing the gas tank of his car made a pretty big mess as the fuel spilled in the area. The guy - that wanted to clean it up - started to wash it off with water, causing for the fuel to roll down almost the whole street.
The Spring Valley fire department was dispatched at 20:37 hours Thursday night to 29 Collins Ave for complains of a gas smell in the area. At 21:49 hours Spring Valley command requested the Monsey fire department Rescue and "Speedy Dry" to the scene, according to RocklandFires.

Person Stabbed To The Chest In Spring Valley
Spring Valley - Officers from the SVPD rushed to the scene Thursday afternoon, for a report of a person that was stabbed in front of 17 Slinn Ave.
Responding officers advised they got a person stabbed to the chest, police secured the scene for the Spring Hill Ambulance crew to step up, as well as the Rockland Paramedic Service (RPS) who transported the victim to a local hospital in stable condition.

Tires Of Six Cars In Spring Valley Slashed
Spring Valley - Residents on Schevchenko Place (which is off Twin Avenue) were shocked this morning when they learned that six cars total on the street had at least two tires slashed by one or more perpetrators the night before.
The Spring Valley police arrived this morning to take reports. When NewYorkBuffMedia reporter got there a little later three of the six already had their tires changed to new ones, including one active Hatzolah EMS member that responds to emergency calls with his vehicle.
