MVA With Multi Injuries And Entrapment On NY 17
Wurtsboro - Multiple emergency agencies were operaiting on scene Thursday night of a two vehicle collision on the NY 17 in the area of Exit 113.
Paramedics on scene requested two chopppers to transport two seriously injured passengers. The landing zone was on the Rt-17, Both patients were airlifted to Albany Medical Center.

One Dead When TT & Garbage Truck Collide
Thompson - On June 24, 2013 State Police at Liberty responded to a report of a commercialMotor vehicle accident on State Route 42, south of Fraser Rd in the Town of Thompson.
Responding troopers determined that an International tractor-trailer owned by Estes Express Lines and operated by James Eaton, age 57 of High Falls, NY was traveling northbound on ST-42 and drifted into the southbound lane of travel as it was negotiating a curve in the roadway. A Mack garbage truck owned by Waste Management, Inc and operated by Brett Labbs, age 48 of Hawley, PA was traveling southbound on ST-42 and was unable to avoid the tractor trailer. The two vehicles collided. Eaton was pronounced dead at the scene by the Sullivan County Coroner’s Office. Labbs was transported by medevac helicopter to Westchester Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition.

Serious MVA Involving Shortline Bus In Monticello
Monticello - Catskills Hatzolah were on the scene of a serious MVA in Monticello, involving a ShortLine Bus. The crash happened on Route 42 at the ShopRite Mall, (in front of Dunkin Donuts). Sources told CatskillScoop that the crash involves the bus, as well as another vehicle. Emergency personnel from multiple agencies are on the scene, and have one victim in traumatic arrest. A Medevac has been requested to the scene for a second victim, reportedly with serious injuries.
Hatzolah & MobileMedics treated numerous passengers from the bus – most of them with minor injuries. The victim in traumatic arrest was transported to Catskill Regional Medical Center by ambulance.
